Time for Automaton, Time for Thinking

Sometimes, some days, you feel a bit slow or unmotivated to do things. Some days, some people are very opposed to an instruction, that they question everything. Both of these situations are the extremes, and are different aspects of approaching things, but both do not get the job done.

I think it is important to realise when is it time to plan, when to act. A computer, and its software, takes very much effort in the sense the codes have to be exact, for it to run. But once it runs, it runs very quickly and no human being can beat a computer, in computing speed, that is. So analogically, there are times we should be like a computer, where we question the exact and precise steps to do a certain things, but when it is set and agreed, we should run it without ado.

However there are times the human nature of pondering on things is required, and this is especially so when creating new things or trying to change something that has been done before. This requires careful consideration and automaton would not be going to do a good job, as good as a slow pondering human.

Like everything in life, there is a time and place for each of these approaches.

Muslims in Malaysia go to Friday prayers every week normally wearing a pair of slippers. Occasionally some dishonest person would come with a pair of old slippers, and leave a pair of newer ones. It was a simple question, and was responded with simple answers. Basically updates of my life (and also work details) and…
