If there is no wind, row

If there is no path, make one.

You are not a tree; if you’re not happy, move!

These all seem to have the same theme, which is where there is a will, there is a way. Oops, there goes another proverb.

I guess the explanation is a bit redundant, as the proverb is quite explanatory. It is also said it is a latin proverb, which has lasted for thousands of years. If it stood the test of time and culture, then the essence must be clear and true.

Destitutus ventis, remos adhibere

And most of the time, the wind blows not in our direction of travel. So lets row, and row till the end.

Thank you for reading.

I was trying to optimise my life today, by making a Google sheet that lists all of my children’s school events, and after that I thought it would be great to have a script that could automatically create these as events in a calendar. I already have a calendar allocated for the kids, I just…

  • Eiffel Tower

I was invited to give a talk recently, similar to this last year, and was tasked or asked to ‘motivate’ the speaker. To avoid boring them to death and lecturing them, I decided to give a parable. I think it’s quite interesting so I am sharing it here. There are two towers, one is more…
