Early Morning

I came upon this book which was on sale on Amazon Kindle for just GBP0.99.

It had 40,000 reviews which means it must be read by a lot and hence it is famous. I flipped through the ‘read me’ feature and I was reading through the first few introduction, I felt that the story was interesting enough, but I was waiting for the formula/recipe/action list that makes the morning, a miracle. Since I couldn’t get the points from there, I went to read the 1 star reviews.

Most say that the book waffles on for another 70 pages before sharing the secret to the ‘Miracle Morning’, which is to wake up one early and do all the things you need to do for yourself. Thank you reviewers.

I am reminded then that in Islam, there is the obligatory five prayers a day that we Muslim must do. These are obligatory and non-negotiable, and forms the pillars of belief. Then there are the supplementary prayers, which are for the lack of better words, at a lower level than the obligatory prayers. One of them is the sunat (recommended) prayer before the Subuh (morning) prayer. It is said that the pahala (value) of this supplementary prayer before the obligatory morning prayer, is better than the value of the whole world and all its entirety. To add to that, prophet Muhammad also recommended to not sleep after these morning prayers, not at least until the sun rises.

So by the alignment of all this, this gives around an hour daily to do things, before the day chores are required to be done. In the end, I have known already this things and need only to follow: Wake up one hour early, (pray subuh and sunat subuh, don’t go back to sleep), and do all the things I need to do for myself. Like writing this post for example.

There, I’ve save a pound from buying the book. And I hope I have saved for you too, or at least find this beneficial.

Thank you for reading.
