Money: Know More, Make More, Give More – Book Review
The full title of the book is actually “Money: Know More, Make More, Give More: Learn how to make more money and transform your life”.
Yes, that whole line. I would compare this to when someone is selling to you a phone from a less unknown manufacture and the product name will have all the specs, versus, buying an iPhone.
Well in certain cases, the unknown brand phone might suit you and be useful, but in the case of this book, this is not so. The book is as elaborative as the title and also full of nonsense. I honestly did not finish reading the book but I believe that my review would not have changed even if I have finished it.
The book starts telling about the writer’s hardship and through circumstances and paradigm change, he manages to change this life. I am not saying that this is impossible, but his situation is hardly applicable to my situation. He then expounds the benefit of being rich with vague ‘facts’, accompanied by philosophic comments. I end this review with quotes that I manage to highlight before I deleted the book from my kindle.
On the importance of ‘hustling’,
Life gives to a giver and takes from a taker, so if growth is growth life will give you more, and if growth is greed life will take away and teach you the necessary lesson.
On the benefit of being rich and able to lend money, and ‘help the economy’.
If you can lend out £10 for every £1 deposited, just think what that does to the size of an economy.
Comparing people spending day to day akin to gamblers (this is so demeaning, as if poor people are all gamblers)
And so the cycle continues, but doesn’t help or change anything other than perhaps the owner moves to another country if too much is taken from him, and the gambler spends more and has a bigger addiction.
In short, give this book a pass.
Read this book instead if you want good advices managing money.
