I am rearranging some furniture around the house to accommodate some work arrangements and all these are starting to annoy me. I just want a place to do some extra work, and the challenge of finding an arrangement that – works for me, works for the family, is suitable for both summer and winter, and doesn’t break the bank along the way – is starting to feel a bit too much. Some people would on the contrary would think this things are not easy, and would not be bothered one bit. They would enjoy the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am reminded of a friend, who is often amazed that I read a lot of books (to his view) and he would asked what was the book about. Sometimes some books are not too easy to be explained, and the ‘greatness’ of the book or story would be lost if it is summarised, so I would say to him, that he needs to read the book to know the story. His words would be, he doesn’t want to read the book, he just wants to know whether the story is good or not. In a way, he wants the end, while I enjoyed the process (of reading).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this case of me arranging the furniture, I just want to reach my destination, of having a conducive home office, and I don’t care much about the journey. Sometimes, it is about the journey, but today, it is about the destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Different things, different people, different values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
