I was imparting my wisdom to my daughter or in Malay, it\u2019s called berleter<\/em>, when my daughter finished my sentence or rather she said something along the lines of what I was saying. I pivoted and said that she is smart to always understand what I am trying to say, but she replied that it is just that \u201cyou always tell before you explain.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am not really sure what she means by that but my understanding is that I went on a longggg winded story about a moral or lesson, before finally coming to the lesson to be learned itself. To me that sounds like I am babbling and I am acting like old men who lectures the young. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So yes, I feel I am getting old, especially when I was cut off from delivering my lecture to my daughter. I guess I need to slow down with the talk and drilling my beliefs into her, but rather to practice what I preach, more fervently, instead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
